This year Canada welcomes spring with it’s largest flower and garden festival of North America, The 14th Annual Canada Blooms festival. Happening from March 16 -20, 2011,  the event showcase outstanding floral and landscape displays and aims to promote horticulture with this year’s theme: “Rhythms”. This year’s festival will be held at Direct Energy Centre in Toronto with about six acres of enchanting gardens in full blooms.

By visiting the events you get to marvel at the fantastic floral displays of different gardens, watch floral competitions, attend over 200 hours of free lectures and shop at Blooms Marketplace!

Canada will be celebrating it’s National Flag Day this February 15 of 2011. This celebration commemorates the inauguration of the Flag of Canada last Ferbruary 15 1965. Although it’s not consider as a legal holiday, institutions like school and government offices held public ceremonies and events in honor of the historical event.

The  “Maple leaf flag” is flown on buildings, museums, schools and even private homes.  Some people wear pins in the form of the flag.  Canadians take pride of their unique culture and history.  It’s the time of the year that all Canadians unite to give honor and respect to their country.

Serve chilled from frozen grapes, it is picked when temperature stayed below 17 degrees Fahrenheit by Canadian Law.  Canada is one of the largest producer of ice wine in the world and Ontario is the largest producer of ice wine in North America.
